Nathaniel Olson, Baritone
Biography
Nathaniel Olson, baritone, is currently pursuing a Master’s of Music at Indiana University, and he is an alumnus of Wheaton College and the Franz Schubert Institute. The time at Indiana has been active with performances as Don Giovanni, Raphael - Die Schöpfung, Faninal – Der Rosenkavalier, and Eddie Carbone - A View from the Bridge. Off campus performances include Elijah at the First United Methodist Church, and as bass soloist in the St. John Passion and Durufle Requiem in Columbus, Indiana.
Nathaniel performed in Sylvia McNair and Friends in Bloomington, and made his Carnegie Hall debut in Marilyn Horne’s The Song Continues. The last summer brought song recitals at Ravinia as a fellow in the Steans Music Institute and the roles of Betto - Gianni Schicchi and the Ghost of Virgil - Francesca da Rimini at the Princeton Music Festival.
Committed to sharing music in the community, Nathaniel is a member of Roundabout Opera for Kids. ROK brings family friendly operas into schools throughout southern Indiana. When not
singing, he can be found writing letters, hiking, and trumpeting.
