Blue Reflections Robert Kritz

Robert Kritz, a well-known Chicago-based composer, has written works for many internationally recognized chamber music ensembles and soloists. Of the Blue Reflections he says that the word blue, in today's usage, is a feeling of sadness. A reflection is a visual image or the pondering of memories. The two melodies expressing these feelings are derived from each other but convey different moods because of inverted form and change of rhythm.  K. DeJongh
