Performed live at National Radio Plovdiv - Bulgaria on Oct. 1st, 2010.
Notes from the composer:
At the time of writing Chaos Analog I had become concerned with the physicality of playing an instrument. I was specifically interested in the animal nature of creating a sound and its relationship to the process of composing. During this time various kinds of bodily experiments took place at the piano, including screaming, dancing, grunting, nudity and auto-eroticism. Chaos Analog was an attempt to capture and record the immediacy of an improvised gesture in both its violent and graceful presentation as it unfolds over time. In this work I was able to create a shorthand graphic notation which works like an “analog” of the sounds I was creating in the moment. http://www.scottwollschleger.com/
