Aleksandra Sobon is a classical pianist, graduate of Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo where she studied under the guidance of prof. Einar Henning Smebye (modern piano) and prof.Liv Glaser (historical piano). In 2010 she graduated from Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw (master degree with distinction for chamber music), where she was a student of prof. Jerzy Romaniuk and Ramiro Sanjines, before of prof. Elzbieta Tarnawska.
In Norwegian Academy of Music she studied chamber music with world acclaimed cellist - Truls Mork and famous Norwegian composer and pianist Wolfgang Plagge.
She is a winner of a 1st prize on NMH Chamber Music Competition 2012 (with Daedalus Trio), 2nd prize on XIII International Contemporary Chamber Music Competition in Cracov and a laureate of a special prizes on Mazovian Chopin Competition.
Aleksandra Sobon during her studies in Norway worked a lot to present Polish music to Norwegian audience. Her project "Mykietyn and Oslo" (premiere of composer's music in Norway) was a big success - Polish composer himself came to Oslo to be an honour guest during a concert organised by Polish Embassy. The concert was a part of Cultural Program of the Polish EU Presidency. In 2012 Aleksandra was invited to perform music of Karol Szymanowski on gala "Outstanding Poles in Norway". The concert was the final part of the ceremony attented by the mayor of Oslo. As a student she made a concert premiere and premiere recording of Piano Trio "Magic Signs" by Anna Ignatowicz Glinńska. She also made a concert premiere of "Con Passione" by Rafalł Janiak and some pieces written by young Norwegian composers for chamber ensemble (NMH Sinfonietta). She mastered her piano and chamber music skills with such great musicians as Jan Krzysztof Broja, Piotr Paleczny, Edward Auer, Leif Ove Andsnes, Anne Queffélec, Piotr Janowski, Andrzej Tatarski, Szabolcs Esztenyi, Roman Jablonski.
She has performed concert in Poland (Concert Hall of National Philharmony, Concert Hall of Chopin Academy of Music, Concert Hall of Philharmony in Cracov, Royal Lazienki Museum), Norway (The Grieg Academy, Trondheim Philhatmonie, National Gallery, Polish Embassy) Hungary, Spain.
In 2013 she debuted in Oslo Concert Hall, her performance was one of the main events of Lutoslawski's Year in Norway.
