Polish violinist born in Kutno, Poland, began playing violin at the age of six. Anna Orlik has won prizes in many international and national competitions:
the 1st prize as well as the ‘Special Prize’ at the 6th International W. Marschner Violin and Viola Competition in Hinterzarten, Germany; The Winner of Solo Performing Category- Special Prize for the best performance of Max Reger's Violin Solo Sonata, and in Chamber Music Category- Second Prize and Special Prize founded by L.Spohr Fundation at the International Max Reger Music Competition in Sondershausen, Germany; Winner of International Music Festival Allegro Vivo Prize in Horn, Austria, and 'Special Prize' at the K.Szymanowski International Competition in Łódź, Poland. Other prizes include 2nd Prize, Special Prize for the performance of K.Lipiński's work and Special Prize for the Youngest Finalist at the Stanisław Serwaczyński National Competition in Lublin, Poland; Laureate of The Institute of Music and Dance Programme- 'New Interpretations'.
She was granted scholarship programmes for outstanding young artists: the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage Scholarship, Young Poland Scholarship Programme, Polish Children's Fund.
As a soloist Anna has performed with numerous orchestras: Warsaw National Philharmonic Orchestra, Lower Silesia Philharmonic Orchestra, Podkarpacka Philharmonic Orchestra, Philharmonic Orchestra of Zielona Góra, Polish Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra Sopot, Łomża Chamber Orchestra, Zenon Brzewski Warsaw String Orchestra, the Orchestra of Polish Land Armed Forces, Loh-Orchester Sondershausen, Deutsche Spohr Philharmonie Freiburg, Deutsche Spohr Akademie Freiburg. The group of the conductors she has cooperated with includes names such as: Marek Pijarowski, Miroslaw Jacek Blaszczyk, Czeslaw Grabowski, Wojciech Rajski, Jacek Rogala, Hiroaki Masuda, Wolfgang Marschner, Alexander Stessin.
She has appeared at international festivals such as: Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in Germany, Octobre Musical de Carthage in Tunisia, Ad Astra in Norway, Allegro Vivo in Horn, Austria, The Stars Promotes in Jelenia G. Philharmonic, Poland, Marschner Festival in Hinterzarten, and Bach Reger Tage in Bad Lngensalza, Germany, Lange Nacht der Wissenschaften in Berlin, Youth Festival in Kharkov, Ukraine and many others.
Anna is living in London, where since September, she will studying at the Royal Academy of Music. Before, she has studied at the F.Chopin Music University in Warsaw, most recently with Prof. Konstanty Andrzej Kulka- the winner of International Music Competition of German Radio Broadcasters in Munich in 1966.
Anna has participated in master classes with some of the world’s most respected musicians including Zakhar Bron, Konstanty Andrzej Kulka, Wolfgang Marschner, Petru Munteanu, Grigory Zhislin, Bartłomiej Nizioł, Marina Jaschwili, Sergiei Kravchenko, and many others.
Anna plays a modern instrument made by polish luthier Wojciech Topa (2003).
