Biography
Pianist Anna Sarkisova has been internationally recognized for her ability to emotionally connect with the audience while demonstrating a virtuosic technique and high musicality. Her concert appearances include Austria, Germany, Italy, Spain, Russia, Armenia, France and the USA.
Her talent was recognized at a very young age. She made her orchestral debut at age eight, performing concerti by Mendelssohn and Haydn. Progressing rapidly under the guidance of Professor Igor Yavryan, Ms. Sarkisova made her first international appearance at age fourteen when she became a prize winner in the International Piano Competition "Citta Di Senigallia" in Italy.
At age sixteen, she entered the Yerevan State Conservatory in Armenia, then moved to Vienna, Austria, to continue her musical journey at the Vienna Conservatory of Music. In 2009, she was accepted to UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music with a full scholarship where she studied with Vitaly Margulis. Having completed her Masters at UCLA, she is currently working toward her Doctoral degree at the University of Southern California (USC) Thornton School of Music under the guidance of Dr. Stewart Gordon.
