Antonina Zharava, Cello
Biography
Antonina Zharava was born into a musical family in 1986 in Minsk, Belarus. As a recipient of a scholarship from the French government, she studied at the Paris Conservatory with Philippe Muller. She has taken part in international festivals and master classes such as the Verbier Festival, Piatigorsky Cello Festival in Los Angeles, Heifetz Institute in New Hampshire, Casals Festival in Prades, and Chigiana Academia in Siena. A prizewinner in numerous competitions in Chile, France, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Antonina is deeply involved in various artistic and chamber music endeavors, including “Suite” with juggler Angeline Soum, “Normality Effect” with painter Efrath Buana, and “A.R.K Trio” with violinist Renato Kamhi and pianist Kayo Tsukamoto. Since 2008, Antonina has been professor of cello at the Fontenay-sous-Bois Conservatory of Music.
