Biography

DUO CORDE was formed in 2006. by a mandolinist Josip Orešković and a guitarist Ambrozije Puškarić. Their mission, along with their artistic goal, is to promote and popularize mandolin as an artistic instrument. The outline of their program consists of classical music written for mandolin, which includes the works of L. van Beethoven, R. Calace, W. A. Mozart, D. Scarlatti and many others. Duo also nurtures and performs music for mandolin in other musical genres, such as popular melodies, music for films, opera’s and operetta’s arias. It also performs music for other musical ensembles, adapting it to mandolin and guitar. Duo Corde very often and gladly cooperates with vocal soloists.
