Canadian violinist Emmanuel Vukovich is emerging internationally as an artist of musical integrity and artistic maturity. Noted for his “untiring attention to every detail of phrasing” (Calgary Herald) he has performed as soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral leader for audiences across North and South America, Europe, and Australia.
He is the current recipient of the 1700 ‘Bell’ Giovanni Tononi violin on generous loan from The Canada Council for the Arts Musical Instrument Bank and is the founder and artistic director of The Parcival Project, an international chamber music ensemble that has toured across Canada and South America. Recent highlights include debut performances at Carnegie’s Weill Hall and Lincoln Center’s Merkin Hall in New York, performances of the Brahms Violin Concerto as soloist with the Oakville Symphony in Toronto, and the Andreas Bello Orchestra in Santiago, Chile, and a recital for CBC Radio celebrating the 10th anniversary of McGill University’s Schulich School of Music.
Mr. Vukovich has performed with artists such as Ida Handel, Matt Haimowitz, Anton Kuerti, and Alex Klein and was the founding first violinist of the Lloyd Carr-Harris String Quartet - grand-prize winner of The Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition, which recorded for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and McGill University record labels under Martha de Francisco. Having recently completed his Masters of Music at New England Conservatory of Music with Lucy Chapman, Soovin Kim, and Donald Weilerstein, he is currently a candidate for the Doctorate of Musical Arts Degree at Stony Brook University in New York.
