Biography
A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, violinist Eunice Kim recently graduated with the Milka/Curtis Violin Award from the Curtis Institute of Music and received her Bachelor's Degree. She began her studies at the age of six, and made her solo debut with the Korean Broadcasting Symphony in Seoul at age seven. A winner of Astral Artists' 2012 National Auditions, she performs regularly in the East Coast and collaborates with education departments such as the Philadelphia Orchestra Department of Education. She was the concertmaster of the Curtis Symphony Orchestra this past year, and she has been invited to do an international Curtis on Tour as a guest artist this coming September. Other upcoming engagements include Music From Angel Fire 2014, soloing with Philadelphia Orchestra and Louisville Orchestra, and working with the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra. She currently studies with Ida Kavafian in Philadelphia.
