Floyd Williams has taught clarinet at the Queensland Conservatorium for the past 30 years. Before that he was Associate Professor at the University of New Mexico. His past students are now members of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, Santa Fe Symphony, New Mexico Symphony Orchestra, Auckland Philharmonia, Queensland Symphony Orchestra and are professors/lecturers at Ithaca School of Music, Victoria University (New Zealand) Queensland Conservatorim and UC-San Diego. Others are free-lancing performers and teachers in London, New York, Brisbane, Kyoto, Hong Kong and other cities in Australia.
His recordings include Dream Tracks (Move Records)and Old Wine, New Bottles (Move Records).
