I-Hsuan Tsai, Piano
Biography
Pianist I-Hsuan Tsai is the winner of Buckeye Piano Competition; Graves Piano Competition, two-piano division; and the Taiwan National Music Competition. She was a member of the Young Artist program at the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati. Her most recent activities include recitals at the Kennedy Center, Ravinia, a chamber music tour of China, recitals at Roosevelt University, Stradivari Society, Mostly Music Chamber Music Series, and on the Fazioli Piano Concert Series. Tsai has been a staff pianist at the Aspen Music Festival since 2003.
Ms. Tsai came to the United States in 1993. She received her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees in both piano and bassoon from Indiana University. She earned her Doctoral of Musical Arts in piano from the Cincinnati Conservatory where she later became a faculty member. I-Hsuan Tsai is currently assistant professor at Vandercook College of Music.
