Ignasi Cambra, Piano
Biography
Ignasi Cambra, born in Barcelona, Spain, is currently a student of Jerome Lowenthal and Matti Raekallio at the Juilliard School. His instructors include Edward Auer,Menahem Pressler, Alexander Toradze and others.He has performed with several orchestras both in Spain and the United States and is a winner of many solo and chamber music competitions. Mr. Cambra has been featured on radio and television in the United States, Canada and Spain and has performed in such venues as Carnegie hall's Weill hall, The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington DC, the United Nations in New York City, the Mariinsky Concert Hall in Saint Petersburg, and Minato Mirai hall in Yokohama. Recent engagements include performances with the Mariinsky Orchestra conducted by Valery Gergiev and a three-month long residency at La Pedrera in Barcelona. Upcoming performances include the Vancouver (WA) and Miami symphonies, as well as solo recitals in Spain and the United States.
