Inah Chiu, Piano
Biography
Born in Seoul, Korea, pianist Inah Chiu immigrated to the United States at the age of 14. She received Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in piano performance from Indiana University, and received a doctoral degree from the Peabody Conservatory of Music. She had performed concerts which include both solo and chamber performance in venues such as the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Symphony Center in Chicago, Ravinia’s Martin Theatre, and the Sejong Cultural Center in Seoul. As a winner of many competitions, she had also been featured in the Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concert Series, Music in the Loft Series, Peabody’s Best Concert Series, Yale Gordon Concert Series, and the Chicago Symphony Chamber Music Series. She also participated as a Young Artist in the Steans Institute at the Ravinia Festival. Dr. Chiu currently teaches at the Music Institute of Chicago.
