Biography
Jenny Ahn, Violin
Jung-Eun Jenny Ahn, from Seoul, Korea, has appeared as a soloist with the Poland Chopin Symphony Orchestra and the Zipper Orchestra in Los Angeles among others. During her studies in Korea, Ms. Ahn took first prize in numerous national competitions. She has collaborated with such renowned artists as Ron Leonard, Paul Coletti, and Paul Neubauer. In 2009–2010, Ms. Ahn was selected as one of two violinists to take part in the Orchestral Studies Program under Pinchas Zukerman in Canada. As a concertmaster, she has led the American Youth Symphony Orchestra and the Banff Music Festival Orchestra. She has participated in summer programs including the Taos School of Music, Banff Festival, the National Arts Centre’s Young Artists Program in Canada, and Ravinia’s Steans Music Institute. Ms. Ahn earned her bachelor’s degree from the Colburn Conservatory under Robert Lipsett. She recently won the Honors Ensemble Competition and completed her master’s degree at New England Conservatory under Paul Biss.
