Jiyoung Lee, Cello
Biography
Jiyoung Lee has performed as a soloist with the Hudson Valley Philharmonic, Bergen Philharmonic, the Seoul Symphony Orchestra, the Juilliard Orchestra, and the Seoul National University Orchestra. She has received awards from the Schoenfeld Competition, New York International Artists Association Competition, Schumann Cello Concerto Competition at the Juilliard School, Hudson Valley Concerto Competition, the Hellam Young Artist Competition, and the Kumho Asiana Young Artist Cultural Foundation. An avid chamber musician, she has performed in Maine, California, New York, Massachusetts, Florida, New Mexico, Geneva, Verbier, and Seoul. A graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music, she earned her master’s degree from Juilliard under Timothy Eddy. Jiyoung is enrolled in the artist diploma program at Juilliard, studying with Joel Krosnick.
