Lisa Algozzini, Soprano
Biography
Lisa Algozzini - SOPRANO
Lisa Algozzini is a young, Italian-American soprano who has already been recognized by the top opera professionals for having a powerful stage presence and a voice that possesses a colorful, rich, Italianate quality. Most recently she has sungSusanna in Le nozze di Figaro at the Trentino Music Festival in Italy and at the Manhattan Opera in New York, Lauretta inGianni Schicchi at the State Opera Plovdiv and the State Opera Stara Zagora in Bulgaria, Zerlina in Don Giovanni in New York, Micaëla in Carmen at Festival Santa Florentina in Spain ("Highlights to point out:...the arrival of Micaela (Lisa Algozzini) in the third act, where she was very successful at bringing the cast together with her dramatic intensity" -Jorge de Persia, La Vanguardia), Mahler's Symphony No. 4 in Vienna and has made her Carnegie Hall Debut as the 2nd Place Winner in the Nico Castel International Master Singer Competition. Upcoming performances include the title role of Handel's Alcina with the Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg in Germany during the summer of 2016.
She is an alumna of many elite musical institutions including The Juilliard School, Aspen Music Festival and has studied with Renata Scotto in her opera academies in New York and Rome.
