Moran Katz, Clarinet
Biography
Clarinetist Moran Katz has toured extensively through Europe and
East Asia as a soloist, recitalist, and chamber musician. Recent and upcoming
engagements include performances in France, Belgium, Italy, Switzerland (United
National Hall in Geneva), Spain, Germany, Holland, England, Ukraine, Mongolia,
Israel (Mann Auditorium in Tel Aviv), and China (Shanghai Conservatory). She
has been a featured soloist with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra under
Maestro Zubin Mehta, among other orchestras.
Her US performances include with the Jazz Bakery in Los Angeles, San
Diego Jewish Music Festival, at the University of Chicago, and the Library of
Congress in Washington D.C. In New
York, Ms. Katz has been presented at Alice Tully Hall, Carnegie Hall, Merkin
Hall, on the MoMA Summergarden Series, at the Lincoln Center Festival, Focus
Festival, Rose Theater for Jazz at Lincoln Center, Joe's Pub, and on the Bargemusic
series. She was recently invited to participate in the 2009 Marlboro Music
Festival.
Ms. Katz received her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees as a student
of Charles Neidich at The Juilliard School, where she was admitted with
presidential distinction and a full scholarship. She now continues her studies
at Juilliard in the Artist Diploma Program, while serving as a teaching fellow
in Juilliard's Literature and Materials Department. She has been a recipient of
