Pandora's Trio, Trio
Biography
Tim Sawyier, oboe, Hanah Stuart, violin/viola, and Kevin Chang, piano, were welded into Pandora's Trio by Kathie
Johnson, Director of the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestras Chamber Music Program, in September 2003. The trio won first place in the
Rembrandt Chamber Music Competition held in Chicago and appeared on the Rembrandt Chamber Players’ subscription series this past
winter. They were awarded the Bronze Medal in the junior division at the 2004 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition in South Bend,
Indiana this past May following a performance tour through St. Croix in April. The trio is named after Ms. Johnson’s parrot who refers
to her as his beloved “Pandora.”
