Tavi Ungerleider, Cello
Biography
Tavi Ungerleider, cellist, has won numerous awards including the Harvard Musical Association High School Achievement Award and the National Federation of Music Clubs Award as well as the New England Conservatory Preparatory School Concerto Competition, the International Chamber Music Ensemble Competition of the Chamber Music Foundation of New England, and the National Foundation for the Advancement of the Arts National Competition. Mr. Ungerleider has soloed with most semi-professional orchestras in Massachusetts and has performed in Jordan Hall, Symphony Hall, Carnegie Hall, and abroad in venues in China, Brazil, France, and Venezuela. Appearing three times on NPR’s From the Top, Mr. Ungerleider has performed in collaboration with Grammy Award-winning Béla Fleck. His past teachers include Debbie Thompson, Ronald Feldman, Michael Reynolds, and Emmanuel Feldman. Mr. Ungerleider currently studies with Richard Aaron and is a prospective mathematics-statistics major as a freshman in the Columbia-Juilliard exchange program. In Aspen he studies with Richard Aaron.
