Biography
Thomas Winthrop Stevens born 1951. His early musical training was as a boy soprano soloist with the Chicago Childrens' Choir under the direction of Rev. Christopher Moore. As a teenager he took up piano and began performing popular music in bands and as a solo pianist. He received his academic degrees in composition from The Chicago Musical College of Roosevelt Univeristy and the DePaul University School of Music, graduating Pi Kappa Lambda. In 1982 he began presenting his art songs, piano solos and chamber music in the concert series, "The Music of Tom Stevens". He is currently active as a free-lance composer, teacher and pianist.
