Prior to moving to Chicago, Wendy Harton Benner was an active performer in Washington, D.C.. Her solo appearances include performances with the Columbia Orchestra (Maryland), Glenelg Chamber Orchestra, and The Bach Sinfonia, for whom she has been concertmaster since 2003. Ms. Benner performed as a member of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, including a 2008-Grammy-Award-winning performance and has served as the violin instructor and director of chamber music at Georgetown University and as the Baroque strings coach at the University of Delaware. Ms. Benner holds a doctorate in violin performance from the University of Maryland.
