Will Chow, 20 (in 2014), studies with Carter Brey and Peter Wiley at the Curtis Institute of Music.Mr. Chow has appeared on NPR's From the Top and has performed as a soloist with the Nova Vista Symphony and the Peninsula Youth Orchestra. He has served as principal cellist of the Curtis Symphony and Chamber Orchestras, as principal cellist of the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra, and participated in the 2009 New York String Orchestra Seminar.
Will Chow will be attending the Marlboro Music Festival in the summer of 2015; in past summers, he has attended The Taos School of Music, Aspen Music Festival and School, and Music@Menlo Chamber Music Institute. Mr. Chow was awarded First Prize in the 2011 Mondavi Young Artists Competition and the American String Teachers Association Solo Competition. He was also 2008 recipient of the Lawrence Bedini Scholarship from the YES Foundation for the Arts in San Francisco.
