Italian pianist and composer. Born in 1970, Davide Polovineo graduated with Honors (1992) in Piano Music, specializing in the Romantic Repertoire (Dip. of a soloist 1982-1992) and Chamber Music (Istituto Superiore di Musica "Gaetano Braga-Teramo, Masters Innsbruck-Salzburg), in Theology- Specialized in Cultural Anthropology (S.Th.D) and also Psychology, specializing in Cultural Anthropology (Ps. D h.c) in Pontificio Ateneo S. Anselmo and Lincoln University. He studied Piano and Chamber Music with Tiziana Cosentino (1982-1992), Sergio Cafaro (professor at "Conservatorio Santa Cecilia," Rome, 1986-1988), Felix Ayo (professorship at "Accademia Nazionale di Musica Santa Cecilia," Rome, 1997-1999), and the famous Russian pianist Lazar Berman (1996-1998). Since 1997 Davide Polovineo performs as a piano soloist. He played in many concert halls of Italy and gives recitals regularly in Europe. Davide Polovineo has recorded for "European Institute of Music" and accompanies other solists (duo sax-piano, duo soprano-piano, duo piano) in recitals. He was Art Director of the Music Competition "Roma Giubileo 2000", the International Competition City of Teramo "Memorial Mario Polovineo" and Co-Art Director with the saxophonist Gabriele Giampaoletti of the International Saxophone Competition (Sax Prix Rome- Arts Academy/ Conservatorio Santa Cecilia 2005). He is regularly taking part at Concerts of Contemporary Music. He was invited as a Member of Commission for International-Competitions and for Academic Schools (Conservatory). In 1997 Polovineo started teaching in Arts Academy-Rome and in European Institute of Musica where he is also Director.
