18-year-old clarinetist Narek Arutyunian, who won First Prize in the 2010 Young Concert Artists International Auditions, makes his Washington, DC recital debut accompanied by pianist Steven Beck. Born in Armenia, Mr. Arutyunian grew up and began his studies in Moscow. He has performed widely in Europe, and plays a clarinet personally given to him by the conductor and violinist Vladimir Spivakov.
Performance Timing: Part One - 40 min.; Intermission - 15 min.; Part Two - 30 min.
