I am truly stunned and humbled by the comments I am receiving from all over the world about this music. From the casual music fan, to professionals in the film and music industries - this short piece has really touched people. Some have said that they broke down and cried during the music. One of the most frequent responses I get to the first 30 seconds is "OH DEAR GOD!!!". Thank you, one and all. I can not tell you how moved I am by your words and emotional statements.
Here are some comments from around the Internet:
"OH DEAR GOD!!! Loran this is nothing but brilliance! I'm blown away!! This is some of your best work yet! Whatever stirred this in you to creation...I know God blessed it, because He gave you this gift. This incredible work has all my favorites, including the tubular bells, gongs, strings & magnificent pipe organ!!!"
"Wow, just beautiful! The score reminded me of the soundtracks from the LOTR triology, my absolute favorite films."
"I love it! Especially the pipe organ and bells!"
"I have to say that this is really great. The complexity of the harmonies touched me in a way that surprised me."
"I would like to know what the first two symphonies sound like! This is a real epic symphony - genuinely tonal and dramatic, not like other composers who write spineless tonal music that patronizes the audience. I would like to see how your Third plays out, Loran."
"Loran, this was excellent. Very pleased o [sic] have an early listen. A wonderfully textured and progressive movement. Looking forward to hearing the whole thing when it's finished. Cheers."
"Thank you so much for including me in the audience for your world premiere prelude. It blew me away. I think it's wonderful. I am VERY, VERY impressed. Please keep me posted on your progress, and do allow me the privilege of hearing your completed symphony when ready."
"I wanna thank you so much , because this is so woderful [sic] , i am speechless . OMG i love it"
"Wow!! That was beautiful, powerful and extremely moving. Congratulations!"
"Thanks very much for the Prelude link to your Symphony No 3..absolutely fantastic Loran - I really enjoyed it..I'll need to play it more in order to appreciate the sheer power of it.."
"Loran you are a unbelievably gifted! It reminded me a little bit of Anton Bruckner's 4 Symphony called the Romantic!"
