I'm new to the site and although I have explored recordings of a wide range of classical music I listen almost exclusively to baroque ... Handel and a little Bach. In philosophy I like Hegel and he can be read as a hyper-baroque philosopher. I see Beethoven as a narrow and blindly optimistic Kantian. Is Glass a modern baroque composer? Is there a 'philosopher of music' that anyone can recommend and why?
