Ayako Yoda, Piano
Biography
Ayako Yoda began playing the piano at the age of nine in her
native Japan. She has
performed extensively as a soloist and chamber musician in the United States, Japan, Switzerland, Portugal, Germany, and at Tanglewood.
Recent concerts include the Boston Chamber Series
with members of the Boston Symphony at Symphony Hall, as a featured soloist at Stanford University, the SIPO International Piano Performance in Portugal, and a Konzert Abend in Germany and at Tanglewood. She has collaborated on recitals
with Doriot Anthony Dwyer, former principal flutist of BSO; John Ferrillo, principal
oboist of the BSO; Kenneth Olsen, assistant principal cello of the Chicago
Symphony; and players from the Montreal, Toronto, and Detroit Symphony
Orchestras.
Ms. Yoda received a Bachelor of Music degree in composition
from the Kunitachi College of Music and a Master of Music in Piano Performance
from the New England Conservatory, studying with Jacob Maxin. She also earned
an Artist Diploma from the Boston University College for the Arts.
