Alexi Kenney, Violin
Biography
Alexei Kenny, born in 1994, began violin studies at age four and recently graduated from the San Francisco Conservatory Preparatory Division where he studied with Wei He. Currently he studies with Donald Weilerstein at New England Conservatory. Alexi has participated in several festivals, including Yellow Barn and Music@Menlo, as well as performing and serving as concertmaster at the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra. Alexi has collaborated with Steven Mackey, Wu Han, and Christopher O'Reiley. He plays a 1904 Riccardo Antoniazzi violin and a Louis Bazin bow on loan to him from the San Francisco Symphony.
