Catherine Ordronneau, Piano
Biography
French born pianist, of Lebanese and Italian descent, Catherine Ordronneau started her studies at the
age of five. She continued her studies in Rouen and in Paris, and in 1994 received unanimous recommendation for the Diplôme
Superieur d'Execution from the Ecole Normale de Musique. In 1995, she was awarded the Diplôme de Concertiste.
Her teachers include Sergio Perticaroli and Monique Deschaussées, a student of Alfred Cortot. Having participated in a masterclass given
by François-René Duchable, he took her under his wing and offered his assistance and guidance in the furthering of her career. She
went on to receive top prizes in competitions in Saint-Nom-la-Breteche and the Pro-Musicis Competition in Paris, whose
prize consisted of numerous concert engagements, a year's study in Rome, and the realization of a CD.
Catherine has been invited to perform in festivals in France, Italy, England, Austria, and Poland. Among her projects for next season is a tour of
the Middle Eastern countries, including performances in Lebanon, Syria, and Jordan.
