Sad theme from a sad movie. This is so beautiful it makes me cry. There is nothing false about this composition. It holds a certain desperation that I think a lot of us feel everyday. So much innocence mixed with so wisdom. This piece really talks to me personally. You've just got to love it.
This piece was composed especially for a solo violin played by Perlman. This is a perfect beauty which matched with the situations of the film. I think it's more beautiful in violin than in cello. Violin can cry out bringing tears in the listener's eyea while cello represents a solemn grief.
The theme from John Williams's Oscar-winning score for Schindler's List is simply one of the finest pieces of film music ever written. This theme has the uncanny, yet seamless and brilliant, ability to make you shed some tears. It's hard to not like. Williams's genius is found throughout. Pianist Angela Yoffe's performance is somber, and cellist Inbal Segev's performance is unspeakably melancholy. This is one of the greatest, and solemnest, movie themes ever devised, and it should not be missed by a soul.
