Biography
The performances of Chicago-based Fifth House Ensemble have been praised by critics as "a little slice of nobility" and "simply fun to hear." Engaging audiences through connective programming and unexpected performance venues, Fifth House performances often highlight relationships between classical music and other art forms, and often involve collaborations with artists of other musical genres.
The current season features Fifth House's inaugural four-concert series at the Merit School of Music, performances at the Shedd Aquarium, the Rush Hour Concert series at St. James, and for the Miller Theatre's Composer Portraits series in New York. In addition, Fifth House Ensemble reaches out to underserved audiences through its MusiCare series, presenting concerts at the Self Help Center and Children's Memorial Hospital, and through a residency at the Walt Disney Magnet School in Chicago.
