Biography
Jung-A Bang received a Bachelor’s degree in piano solo at the New England Conservatory, and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree at the Juilliard School with a Marie Dring Scholarship and Harold & Helene Schonberg Piano Scholarship.
As an active solo and chamber musician, she has given solo and chamber recitals in such prestigious venues as Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall and Merkin Hall in New York City, and Steinway and Jordan Halls in Boston. She was also chosen to play for the Young Artist Celebrity at the Ewon Arts Center, Korea and to perform with the Rumanian Bacau Orchestra in Gyeong-gi Arts Center in Korea.
As an experienced collaborative pianist, she was invited to the Banff Music Festival in 2013 and the Aspen Music Festival with a fellowship award in 2012. She has worked with renowned musicians and teachers including William VerMeulen, Ian Swansen, Donald Weilerstein, Ida Kavafian, and Paul Biss.
