Melody Lord, Piano
Biography
Melody Lord earned a master's degree from DePaul University where she studied with Mary Sauer, Chicago Symphony pianist. Ms. Lord was an orchestral pianist with the CSO for over 25 years and recorded over 14 CDs with them. She has extensive experience as an accompanist, orchestra pianist and coach with the Chicago Symphony Chorus, the Metropolitan Opera regional auditions, Chicago Opera Theatre, Grant Park Symphony, Lyric Opera Orchestra, Northwest Indiana Symphony, and Elgin Symphony to name a few.
She has worked with numerous chamber groups at Orchestra Hall and Ravinia and participated in many broadcasts on WFMT. Ms. Lord has several CDs with Donald Peck and has performed in a number of Carnegie Hall concerts.
She taught at DePaul University for over 25 years and is currently teaching at the Sherwood Conservatory, as well as maintaining a large private studio. She is a member of the Northwest Suburban Music Teachers Association.
