Nico De Napoli, classical pianist
Biography
Nico De Napoli studied piano in Italy and London, graduating from the LCM. He played as soloist in recital, with orchestra, and in masterclasses with world-renowned pianists. His recordings, released by various labels, have been aired on several radio stations and included on the soundtracks to films, documentaries and audiobooks. Along with his passion for music he has a lifelong interest in linguistics, working in translation and interpreting and in language teaching. Since 2008 he has worked in mind-body health. His articles have been published in specialised and broad-scope journals.
Biografia
Studia al Conservatorio di Cosenza e al London College of Music di Londra, dove consegue la laurea in musica e il diploma in pianoforte. Suona come solista in recital e con orchestra e partecipa a masterclass e corsi di perfezionamento con pianisti di grande fama. Le sue registrazioni, pubblicate da varie etichette, vengono trasmesse da diverse stazioni radio e appaiono nelle colonne sonore di film, documentari e audiolibri. Affianca alla passione per la musica un vivo interesse per la linguistica; si dedica a traduzioni e interpretariato e alla didattica delle lingue. Dal 2008 si occupa di benessere psicofisico. Scrive articoli pubblicati su varie riviste di lingua inglese, sia specializzate che generaliste.
