Argentinean composer Astor Piazzolla revolutionized the traditional tango into a new style called nuevo tango, incorporating jazz elements and classical music. Piazzolla's nuevo tango was distinct from the traditional tango in its use of extended harmonies and dissonance as well as counterpoint. In the free spirit of Piazzolla, we have arranged these two tangos for our own four hands, using a basic harmony line and improvising as we go. Our only hope is to end together...
