Eugène Bozza was an award winning French violinist, conductor, and composer. Though his compositional output contained many large scale works such as operas and symphonies, he has become internationally known for his chamber music.
Andante et Scherzo is composed in two movements. The Andante begins with a tenor saxophone solo to present the main theme. The Scherzo has energetic drive created by the combination of duple against triple (hemiola) rhythmic textures. Project Fusion
