Alexander Vladigerov was Pancho Vladigerov’s son. Written in 1954, the Variations are an incredible work combining 20th century percussive style, Romantic and Folk elements with traditional Bulgarian folklore. The piece itself is a journey of variety of rhythm changes and jazzy harmonies which blend with romantic ocean-like melodies and all themes and climaxes lead to one big final climax.Tania Stavreva
