So I was wondering what everybody's favorite instrument is in classical music? I've been a pianist for 47 years, so I can't help but be a little biased toward the instrument I've played for so many years. To me, there is nothing like a riveting piano piece to open a symphony. Although, I still really enjoy all the other classical instruments!!!
I'm not sure if I can choose it, but I huge fan of the entire brass section in classical music. Horns blaring, trombones sliding, tubas creating the entire atmosphere - there's nothing like it.
I may lose a few testosterone points for saying this, but I absolutely love to hear someone play the violin and that passion only grows when it's in a symphony.
47 years?! I thought I had played a long time, and I'm only at 27 years. Way to put me in my place Mara! Percussion is, by far, my favorite instrument to play, but my favorite instrument to listen to is piano.

Hah, and judging by your name I thought you would have stayed exclusive to the tubas. ; )
