Ellen Bottorff, Piano
Biography
Ellen Bottorff has toured extensively in the United States and Canada, performing on live radio broadcasts, regional and national conventions, competitions, and recital series. She can be heard on numerous recordings including, “Just for Fun”, with euphoniumist Pat Stuckemeyer and trumpeter Justin White; “Rare Breeds and Dog-Eared Classics”, with the Kansas Brass Quintet; “Arrows of Time”, with trombonist David Vining; and “Legacy: Violin Music of African-American Composers” with Tami Lee Hughes. In addition to recordings, Ms. Bottorff performs the music of Brian Kip Haaheim on the soundtrack to the movie “Fall From Grace”.
She is currently Collaborative Pianist at the University of Kansas. A graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory of Music and Missouri Western University, Ms. Bottorff has studied with Richard Cass, Jerry L. Anderson, Rita Sloan, and Robert Koenig. She has performed on several master classes with noted pianists such as Ann Schein, Pia Sebastiani, and Richard Goode.
