Played on a german harpsichord designed by Réjean Poirier and built in collaboration with Montreal harpsichord builder Yves Beaupré in 1985. The temperament used is derived from Werckmeister's IV, with five pure fifths, five fifths narrowed by one third of a Pythagorean comma and two more are widened by the same amount. It has no pure thirds but remains warmly consonant in keys of few sharps or flats (here F major).
