Leah Partridge, Soprano
Biography
Soprano Leah Partridge is rapidly establishing herself as a leading soprano on opera stages throughout the United States. Highlights of her 2004-2005 season include her debut at the Teatro Colon Buena Aires to sing the title role of Lucia di Lammermoor, her European debut in Genoa singing Cunegonde in Candide at the Teatro Carlo Felice; her highly successful return to the Florida Grand Opera as Lucia; and performances of Gilda in Rigoletto with Opera Roanoke and Violetta in La traviata with Opera Omaha. She also performed Messiah with the Cleveland Orchestra and a holiday concert with the Gibraltar Philharmonic. Upcoming engagements include performances of Gilda with the Florida Grand Opera.
This season with Chicago Opera Theater, Ms. Partridge will sing the roles of Belinda and Leonore in the February double bill of Dido and Aeneas and The Padlock. In May, she will return to Chicago Opera Theatre to sing Konstanze in Abduction from the Seraglio.
