The Iberia Suite is Isaac Albéniz's best-known work and considered his masterpiece. Stylistically, this suite falls squarely in the school of Impressionism, especially in its musical evocations of Spain. Almería, relating to the Andalusian seaport, features the rhythm of the tarantas, a dance characteristic of the region of Almería. Albéniz fuses his knowledge of European classical music with elements of Spanish folk music, although he hardly ever directly cites the latter, but rather reinvents it in an authentic manner.Régulo Martínez-Antón
