This is a beautiful, lush, and pacific piano composition from Isaac Albeniz. Ang Li's piano playing is great and fluent throughout this recording. I highly recommend this piece for piano lovers.

Musician's or Publisher's Notes
Spanish composer Isaac Albeniz composed Iberia, a suite for piano, between 1905 and 1909. Both works on today’s program come from Iberia Book 1. Evocación is an impressionist reminiscence of Albéniz' native country, combining elements of the southern Spanish fandango and the northern Spanish jota dance music. El puerto is a zapateado, a dance of Mexican Indian origin characterized by a lively rhythm punctuated by the striking of the dancer's shoes. The piece was inspired by the port town of Cádiz.
