Polish composer and virtuoso pianist of the Romantic era, Chopin wrote 21 nocturnes for solo piano between 1827 and 1846, and they are considered among the finest short solo works for piano. Chopin is one of Ania’s most beloved composers and her compatriot, who sadly did not write anything for the violin. However, the great violin virtuosos of the 19th and 20th centuries, Sarasate and Milstein made wonderful transcriptions of these genius works.
