Nocturne in C-sharp minor Frédéric Chopin, arranged by Nathan Milstein
Fryderyk Chopin was one of the great masters of the Romantic period and has been called “the poet of the piano”. Nocturne No. 20 in C-sharp minor, Op.Posth., was originally composed as a solo-piano piece in 1830. Later, one of the master violinists of the 20th century, Nathan Milstein brilliantly transcribed it for violin and piano, which works beautifully on the violin with the expressive use of vibrato and portamento.
