Melodia conveys the lyricism of Georgian singing while Khorumi is a war-like dance set in five beat meter. The original Khorumi originates from the Adjara, western Georgia. It might date back to the period of the heroic wars against the conquering armies of the Turks, Persians, Mongols, and others. The dance consists of three parts: searching for the enemy, the battlefield and the victory.Notes by Alexander Tsomaia
