Few may know this: Bazzini was Puccini's teacher...one of them anyway. This performance is great - very playful.

Dance of the Goblins Antonio Bazzini
Antonio Bazzini was born in Brescia, Italy in 1818, although much of his professional life as violinist and composer was spent in France and Germany. He was acquainted with Schumann and Mendelssohn and is considered a leading composer in Italian non-operatic Romanticism. His compositions include four violin concertos, six string quartets, two quintets, a tone poem, and Ronde des lutins (Dance of the Goblins or Elves) for solo violin. Amaury Coeytaux
