Frühlingsnacht (Spring Night)
Above the garden through the air
I heard migrating birds passing,
that heralds spring fragrances,
below it is already beginning to bloom.
I would like to rejoice, I would like to weep,
For me, it is as if it cannot be!
Old miracles reappear
within the moon’s brilliance.
And the moon and stars are telling it,
and in a dream the wood is whispering it,
and the nightingales are singing it:
“She is yours, she is yours!”
