Patrick Godon, Piano
Biography
Patrick Godon received both his Bachelors Degree and Masters Degree in Piano Performance from DePaul University. He studied with Mary Sauer, principal keyboardist of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Patrick is the first pianist of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, and has been a substitute for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Patrick was invited to play second keyboard in Bartok's Four Pieces for Orchestra on the 2005 CSO European Tour through five countries. As a soloist, he has been featured in Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No.5 with the Oak Park/River Forest Symphony and with the DePaul University Wind Ensemble in Hindemith's Konzertmusik. He is in great demand as a collaborative pianist throughout the Chicago area, and has served as Director of Music at St. Gregory the Great Church since July, 2003. He also writes reviews of new organ music for Clavier magazine.
